DEPUTY LYLE WAS THE ONE MAN WHO INFLUENCED ME THE MOST AND THERE FOR I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU FOR ALL U DID AND ALL YOU WERE TO THE ONES YOU INSPIRED.

He was an amazing man and it saddens me to see him gone. Ive always been a fan of his show and made an impact with me even though Ive never been in scared straight.

Strange, never met Johnathan, but because I saw him, and liked him, I feel like he is a friend I have lost. Its so sad that his family and his friends havent got him any more, I hope theyre able to look back and although miss him, the pain is not as sharp. Best wishes to you, family and friends of this larger than life man.

I saw you on Beyond Scared Straight. You made me chuckle at the way you treated the kids who was under your care for the episodes. It took great courage to do what you did. I'll be praying over your family. You made the world a greater place. You were truly my favorite deputy throughout the whole show.

Saw you on BSS right now, IDK which episode (Its the one with Whoooo, Justin Bieber!) Ive instantly got a cringe from that just to read afterwards in the comment section that youve unfortunately passed away man!

I've watched him on the Scared Beyond Straight. I really like him. A strong man. On the show, he'd give an attitude on juvenile delinquents who pretty much asked for it. People can say he was wrong, but he wasn't. It's all about scaring the kids straight and changing them. He really did care about helping troubled teens. Deputy Lyle was a good man. As a Journalist, I'd have loved to have met him and have a chance to sit down and talk to him. Unfortunately, I couldn't. But it's okay. He made me smile. May this man rest in peace. Thank you, Deputy Lyle. May God rest your soul.

i remember this dude from scared straight, he was hella funny and now that he is in heaven he must be entertaining god and im sure god would be amused by him and would send him back to the earth.

I very much wanted to say how sorry I was to read about Johnathan's passing. I'm a person from the UK and I admired him for the work he had done ato help the young people of his community. I even wrote to the sheriffs department saying so. My deepest regrets to his family and his friends, while I'm sure are blessed to have had him in their lives for such a short time.

I was just talking with a Deputy today about you and had no idea that you had passed! May God bless the Lyle family!

Although I only knew Casey for a few months he became a true friend in that short time. I believe God put him in my life to show me something that without him I would have never known about & he helped me realize a door needed to be closed and another opened and I'm so happy that I was able to meet Casey and although I'm saddened by his untimely death I'm so happy for the time I was able to know him. What can I say of Casey Lyle and our comradeship? That we stood together through thick and thin? That we watched each other's backs? That we saved each other's bacon so many times? That we shared more laughter and adventures than we could count? That we knew each other well enough that we could read each other's minds most of the time?
That time and distance never effected any of these things? Yes, of course. We've been friends for years. Those who have been fortunate enough to have friendships such as we have had, know what it's like.

It's why the news of his passing has filled my cup with more sorrow than it can hold. It runs over and spills in rivulets down my face. Indeed it does for so many of us, who knew, loved and were loved by him.

We all know who and what he was. It's who he will always be to us. It's how we will all remember him. His smile, his humor, the sound of his voice, the mischievous twinkle in his eye. The warm, stout, heroic heart that shined from within him even though he often tried to keep it hidden.

What can I say of Casey?

He's my friend. He's my family. He always was, even long before I met him and he always will be. He will be with me forever and the good he's given me will hold me over until I see him again.

Maite, Kat, Becca, my love and prayers for you. You are family to me, my heart is with you.
