I will always remember Jon from our college days. He really cared and was there for me on one occasion when I really needed help. When the chips were down, he made you believe that any adversity could be over come and that you had what it took. Without question Jon had a very strong belief in people and what was possible. That rubbed off on me and others at Theta Chi. During his tenure we achieved remarkable successes and essentially doubled our house membership during his tenure. His weapons were humor, drive and charisma. Jon, I will think of you often and thank you for making me a better person.

Dear Carrie, Josephine and Cindy,
What a shock to learn of Jonathan's passing at such a young age. I was fortunate to have dinner with Jonathan, Cindy and my Mom (Eleanor Warren) the last time I was in Connecticut. I enjoyed Jonathan's humor and our discussions of his career in business and technology. I will continue to keep Jonathan in my thoughts and the vivid image I have of him etched in my mind. We pray that over time your broken hearts will mend.
Love, Jeff, Betsy, and Jeffrey Warren

To Jon's Friends and Family- I went to high school and lived a couple of houses away from Jon. I have many many fond memories of Jon that I'll never forget! My heart goes out to you in this difficult time.

July 20, 2012

To Jon's family,

As I read all the wonderful things about Jon, it is apparent of the impact he has had on the lives of everyone who knew him. We had the great opportunity of having Jon as a guest in our salon for so many years, and when we heard of his passing, we all were so sad. He always came in with a smile, great attitude, and was so genuinely nice to all.
Our thoughts and prayers will be with you now and in the months ahead as you grieve this great loss.
Sincerely,
Doreen Swanson

I will always remember Jon for his warm smile, sharp insight, and seemingly endless store of patience and generosity. He was a man who truly enriched the lives of those around him with his many talents, quick wit, and inviting sense of humor. It was easy to like Jon, and a great gift to get to know him. I am grateful to have had the opportunity. My heart goes out to all of his loved ones. Along with Jon you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Carrie,
So very, very sorry. Wish I could be there to hug you. Sometimes life is so unfair. Sorry Jonathan, who was obviously a great guy, was taken from your family so suddenly. My brother died 4 years ago, and I was heartbroken for his children. I just thought it would be the most devastating thing and they could not possibly thrive without him. But you know, they are all doing great and have learned to be stronger with the loss they have dealt with. They are self sufficient and have learned to take on many of the roles their dad did. And even though they were so young, they are the kids my brother raised. They are the same, they remember what he taught them. They are better people for knowing and loving such a great guy. They have fought to survive, just as you and your daughter will. You have the soul of a fighter, and although you will want to give up daily, you wont. You have the strength of a Minnesota Nurse, one who has 20,000 people united together. Know that we are all here for you. Praying that you will, one day at a time have more happy memories than sad ones. Love you,

Jeremy Bauer

Dear Carrie, Josephine and Family~

I was a friend and girlfriend of Jon's in high school. We kept in touch on and off in the years since then. I will always cherish our high school memories, as he was a big part of my life during this time. I remember him teaching me how to drive a stick shift on his first car--a Honda Prelude. I remember prom like it was yesterday! I am very saddened by his death and I have nothing but fond memories of him. My heart and prayers go out to his family. May God Bless you all.

I am so sorry to learn of Jon's passing at such a young age and my heart goes out to Carrie and Josephine. I will always remember Jon as a friend who was confident but not arrogant, talented yet always willing to ask for help, funny but not foolish and popular without conceit. I admired these traits and the ease with which he collected the many friends who will dearly miss him. May he rest in peace.
