I am late with this message, but I was a friend who adored Jonathan. I am heartbroken to find, while searching how to reconnect with him, that he has passed away at such a young age. That is how I found out. I am so very sorry Beverly and Seymour, your son was very special, intelligent beyond this world, and am so sad I will have to wait a bit to reconnect with him. My heartfelt condolences to all of his family and loved ones. Nothing but fond memories of this young man.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. Mom (Kaylia) loved you so much and you were always in her thoughts and payers I can't say how much you will be missed by everyone who you touched. My heart goes out to Beverly, Seymour and especially Abby.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Jon. I have many fond memories of Sabbath dinners together when we were young and when he "arrived" at Vanderbilt for a surprise visit. He was a good man. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I am so sad to learn of Jonathan's passing. We worked together during his Apartment People days. May wonderful memories comfort you during this diffult time.

I am twice devastated by the news of Jon's passing. He, Abby and my dear brother, Rick, who also passed away of cancer just 2 months ago, attended U of C together and remained good friends throughout the years. My deepest condolences go out to the Persky family. I met Jon twice, once at his U of C graduation and once when he visited Nashville with my brother years ago, but have heard Rick speak of him often since that time. Abby, my heart goes out to you at this difficult time.

I only knew Jonathan as a neighbor at his apartment building.But this was for many years. He was quiet but so polite, a mensch. My sincerest sympathies to the family and g dspeed.

You were my dormmate, friend and Brother. I came from the wrong side of the tracks in Skokie. You came from a wealthier area. You never let that fact stop you from being a friend to me or anyone else. You were generous with your time and energy to a fault. You put others' well-being ahead of your own.

I'll always remember your laugh, the light in your eyes, the irreverence, the intelligence and your love for friends and family.
