Erica, Matt and Mrs. Stone, I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Jon, but he sounds like a wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I will never forget Jon atop my 70 foot pine tree 30 years ago! He took it down all by himself and I was totally amazed by his work. He didn't like to take trees down but this one he said was old and rotten. He worried, as I did, about the birds and squirrels who had made their home in that tree.
Jon was so interesting and had a spirituality about him that was wonderful.
My deepest sympathy to the family.

My favorite memory of Jon was when Erica and Michael went to Murphy for pre-school and we both drove similar station wagons. After dropping them off, Jon got in my car with my sister-inlaw in it by mistake. I don't know who was more surprised!!!! All of you are in our prayers. We are sorry for your loss.
