Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

September 23, 2015

My family met Jon when he was dating my cousin Mary Dolan. He immediately fit right in with his quick wittedness and great sense of humor and fun. Always up for anything. I will remember Jon and his easy smile and the fun times he shared with our family.
To Jon's family, I hope you can find some peace of mind as you remember Jon in the good times you've shared together. May he bring you comfort from above and guide you through the times that remain.
~With love

THE GOOD TIMES ARE NOT OVER FOR GOOD

I would like to tell everyone about a few of the best memories I shared with my nephew Jon Tait over the years. Fun memories included Wintertime visits to CT--- Ice skating at Notch Pond in Bolton, drinking hot chocolate and cooking Spam over the campfire.
Then in the Spring driving my old Plymouth thru the woods and spinning out.
When Jon was in high school he called me to say he was coming to New England with his buddies to a Grateful Dead Concert. He asked i
if they could camp out in our backyard. With rain and bad weather in the forecast the camp out ended up in my garage sleeping on old mattresses. With joking and kidding around all night a great time was had by all.
One Summer Jon stayed with us and got a part-time job at a local ice packaging plant. The workday started at 5:00 AM with cheeseburgers, Jon's favorite snack, on the breakfast menu.

Jon enjoyed partying, having fun and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Now Jon is in a happier place. And yes Jon......
THE GOOD TIMES ARE NOT OVER FOR GOOD

He was so much more then the addiction, he was a man you could trust, he was the go to guy, he was always there to help, and he was living in the wrong times... is it the addiction , or is it the lack of community we live in.... we will miss your vim and vigour, your humor, witty, sarcastic and dry.... and we will cry.... love to you RORY (13YRS old) and EK her Mother...Smith

I will always remember Jon as an incredibly compelling man. So smart and funny with an undertow of seriousness. He was a great companion and caretaker for his Dad, which I so admired.. My thoughts and love to David Jr. and Jane.

You were always entertaining, Jon. I love it that you ironed "the express way." Brilliant. By the way, I still have not read that Catch 22 book you gave me. Maybe I should. Love you. Rest in paradise.
