Pepaw was a force! His love was loud and contagious and undeniable. He was so proud of his family, and he treated everyone like family! The world is a little bit darker without his light, but he will always ALWAYS be in our hearts.

Honestly, I just always remember him around the table when I went to visit Yami growing up. Always welcoming, always loud ;), and always loving (except when Yami did something "not approved of" and then the loudness got much louder ;). As Yami and I grew up, he was even more loving and also gave great advice ("go out there and do your thing, Melissa" is a phrase I vividly remember from him). No matter the age, I remember him always treating me like family. Warmth emanating out of him (unless I was in trouble along with Yami-haha). He is definitely a part of who I am today. I am so regretful I will have missed seeing him again by just a few months. He will be missed

Jose and Pat welcomed me into their family and we shared some good times. When Marguerite was in the hospital they came to visit her and took me out to eat. My prayers for Jose and his family.
