Jose Rico Obituary
Jose is survived by his loving wife, Felipa, his children: Josefina, Elva, Jose, Juanita, Jesus, Beatriz, Gabriel & Lorenzo plus 20 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren.
Jose was an avid music lover. He travelled & played with Isidro Lopez y su Orquesta throughout Texas. He was also a promoter in Brownsville and contracted musical groups to play at the Civic Center.
Jose loved nature and animals. At one time or another during his life, he raised chickens, rabbits & goats.
By trade, Jose was a car painter in the Brownsville & Corpus Christi area.

Grandpa,
You were more than just my grandpa-you were like my second dad, my protector, and the one who could always make me laugh, no matter what. Growing up with you was a gift I´ll never stop being grateful for. You were a steady presence in my childhood and truly helped shape who I have become as an adult.
You had a way of making life feel lighter-whether it was a joke, a story, or just that sparkle in your eye when you were up to something. You truly filled our lives with love, with laughter, and with a strength that carried our whole family.
My heart is broken because I´ll miss you every day. But I take comfort in knowing you lived a full, beautiful life surrounded by the people you loved-and who loved you fiercely right back.
Thank you for everything-for the memories, the warmth, the laughter.
I love you forever, Grandpa.
And I´ll carry you with me, always.
