On Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Beloved husband of Anne Arfin for seventy years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Sharon and Jerry Kamien, Elliot and Micheline Albert. Cherished Zaidie of Debbie (Gregg), Stacey and Barry Lewis, Kathy, and Esthy. Proud great-grandfather of Kyle. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Maytie and the late Sydney Berger; and brother-in-law of Carl and Lillian Arfin, the late Joe and the late Claire Arfin, the late Esther Burch, the late Rose and the late Harry Halperin. Joe will be sadly missed by his nephews, Allan and Mark Berger, and by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the caring staff of 4NW at the Jewish General Hospital for their devotion and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, June 21 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva private, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. daily. Donations in his memory may be made to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251.
