Joseph Anleitner

Joseph G. Anleitner Hebron/Valparaiso/ Calumet Park, IL Joseph G. Anleitner, age 77, of Hebron, formerly of Valparaiso and Calumet Park, IL, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2004, at Porter Hospital. He was born August 26,1927, in Terre Haute the son of Charles and Agatha (Marien) Anleitner. He served with the U.S.Coast Guard and the Merchant Marines prior to working as an electrician with Ford Motor Company's Chicago Assembly Plant for 27 and a half years retiring in 1978. He was a member of St.Helen's Catholic Church in Hebron and had formerly belonged to Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church in Calumet Park, IL. On June 9, 1951, in Chicago he married Etta Lucas who survives along with their four children: John (Maureen) Anleitner of Valparaiso, Susan Anleitner of Hebron, Jayne Baker of Valparaiso, Mary Jo (Richard Hiatt) Anleitner of Thornton, CO; eight grandchildren; Scott, Amy (Brian), Matthew, Mark, Jacob, David, Allison and Jessica; one great-granddaughter, Makenna and many loving nieces and nepheews. He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday 10am at St.Helen's Catholic Church, Hebron, Rev.Derrick Dudash officiating with burial at Angelcrest Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 2 to 9 PM at Moeller Funeral Home,104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
