Joe was a special person and mentor to the Miller family through his love of his faith and basketball. As my Confirmation Sponsor, I looked up to him as a tremendous role model of humble greatness.

I always enjoyed visiting with Joe after Mass. He always had something witty to say.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he Rest In Peace.

I met him in first grade at Holy Redeemer school in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was so funny and a great friend to me.

I played for the Miami Women´s Basketball Team in the late 70´s and early 80´s. Coach Barry saw me before practice getting in some extra shooting. He offered to rebound for me...how SWEET was that. Had a decent game the next day and Coach claimed it was due to him rebounding for me. What a kind, funny, and dedicated Coach. RIP Coach! Janet Watson Class of `82

The Browers were blessed to have reconnected with Joe & Mary Lou at the Knolls where Joe was a neighbor to both Fred & Mary Jane. His smile and good humor will be greatly missed. Love & prayers to his family.

Joe was a great basketball coach and teacher of the game; he was always loving and kind to my family and my high school basketball teams when we visited Oxford. I will never forget the great memories at Miami University...Thank you, Joe, for having a positive impact on my life. #loveandhonor
