Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

As a kid growing up the Bergmaier and Castaldi families were very close ( and still are ). You had Dennis and Danny, Bob and myself and Tim and John sharing close friendships. What I will remember most about Mr. Bergmaier is that he treated the Castaldi boys as if they were his own. When there was trouble which there usually was when we got together, Mr. B would let us know and trust me we would listen ( until the next time! ).His advice was always straight and to the point with his intention to always steer us in the right direction. My prayers are with all of the Bergmaier family.

God Bless

Dear Dad,

You may have been a man of small stature, but you were a man bigger than life. You had many wonderful qualities about yourself, which you unknowingly passed on to your children and grandchildren. You gave us a sense of humor, the gift to gab and the ability to fight for what we believed in. You taught us to have compassion for others and to overlook others imperfections, for no one is perfect.

You will always have a special place in my heart and I will miss you dearly. Until we meet again on the other side, may you be at peace.

Love and miss you,

Liz

Dear Dad,

My favorite memory of you is from a barbeque at our house one warm summer evening. You & Mom talked about marriage and kids. You each agreed early on that you wanted 6 children. We all laughed at the thought that maybe God granted BOTH of your requests & gave you a 13th child as a bonus. It was a great opportunity to thank you both for being so faithful (especially since Kevin, being the 12th child, is the BEST of the bunch & I'm so blessed to be his wife!) I look forward to seeing you again Dad.

Your loving daughter-in-law,

Kevin Bergmaier

My Dad was a man of conviction, steadfast faith and un-waivering integrity who loved and honored his God, his family, his church and his country, among other things. God blessed this man with many gifts and talents, which he cherished and employed with vigor and pride. He was known to be a man of many words and great intellect, which sometimes made him a force to reckon with. But underneath all of his layers of complexity was a very sensitive, kind-hearted, generous and sometimes vulnerable soul who was often misunderstood. He was a man who knew love, but sometimes struggled with intimacy. He was a man who knew how to laugh, but no doubt also cried. He was a man of great strength and stature who could be shaken and cut down by his own insecurities. He toiled his whole life to be a man of honor and integrity...a man of his word. He instilled this in his children and those who were in his charge.

My Dad was a devoted husband and father who took his responsibilities to heart. He never shirked these duties and endured tremendous sacrifices throughout his life as a result.

Although he may not have always known how to say it or show it outwardly, my Dad loved his family in the best way he knew how. He devoted himself to his wife, the true love of his life, and was very proud of the great family they made together.

Dad, I love you. I'll miss you. Thank you for the life you've given me. Thank you for all that you have taught me. Thank you for always telling me how proud you were of me. Thank you for being such a loving father to Judy and for accepting Tara and Tai as your own grandchildren. And thank you for all of the things I should have thanked you for along the way but didn't...

May you be in heaven now resting in the loving arms of Jesus.

Forever your son. Kevin

Joe Bergmaier touched so many lives and he will be greatly missed. One of those rare, larger-than-life individuals, you just believed he would always be here. With your wonderful, enormous family as his legacy, he truly will always be here. Bob, I am blessed to be your friend and to have known your dad, and your entire family, for so many years. It's only been a few days since dad died and the reality of the finality has not yet sunk in. Memories of him come in waves that wash over me with great sadness and joy. He was a large man in a small frame forever pictured in my mind, forever loved in my heart.
