BERINSON (Joe):
A Western Australian statesman has passed on. We remember his life with gratitude. A most principled man who was prepared to take risks for the things he believed in. Deeply committed to the security and survival of his community under the shadow of the Holocaust. Cheerfully patriotic in his representation of the nation. Farewell to a dear comrade. RIP.

BERINSON (Joe):
Nearly 30 years ago I thank Joe for appointing me as a JP so that I may service a wider community.
In regard to reform, Joe was of the view that the executive government of the day should accept responsibility and introduce daylight saving for the good of the State and the economy, in fact he wrote a letter to The West on that subject and I agreed with him. My condolences to Jeanette and family.
