Joseph Bledsoe, II Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 11, 2025.
Joseph A. Bledsoe, II ("Joe") went home to his Heavenly Father on July 5, 2025. He was preceded there by his father, Joseph A. "Buck" Bledsoe; his brother, Larry; and his daughter, Ann Bledsoe Schultz.

Born in Fayetteville, and a life long resident, Joe was a graduate of Fayetteville High School, where he played clarinet in the band. Over the years, he seemingly met almost everyone in Fayetteville. And he was a friend to all.

Joe was a member of Village Baptist Church, where he sang with the choir. He also sang in the living room and the shower, with equal passion, and was singing hymns only a few days before he passed. He loved music, and he inspired his children and others to love it, too.

Joe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly Morrison Bledsoe; his mother, Flo O'Connell; his children, Jody Bledsoe and Thankful Borcicky; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren (and one on the way); and his six siblings and their families.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall of Village Baptist Church in Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Vision Resource Center of Fayetteville or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Mr Bledsoe must have been a great man and good father because he raised wonderful children who've become impressive adults in their own communities. I am sure he is smiling from heaven on the beautiful family he helped create. Rest in Peace!
