Joe,

Well I know that it has been over 3 years since we lost you but I remember you like it was yesterday. I miss you greatly! Leaving the Boston area in 2011, we didn't see each other often after that, but on our summer trips up from Philly, you always made an effort to get together. You have been like a long lost brother to me, a friend to my wife and an Uncle to my 2 kids. You are a rare breed, proud, tough and one of the best Americans that I know. Till we see each other in heaven Joe,

Semper Fi!!

My sincere condolences to the surviving members of Gunnery Sergeant Joseph "Joe" Cacciatore's family.
Joe and I were the Staff Non-Commission Officers in charge of a Marine Combat Engineer Platoon. Nobody worked harder than Joe, and no one cared more for subordinates like Joe did.
The world may have lost Joe, but heaven has gained another sentry at the Pearly Gates. Rest in peace Marine.
