I am so sorry to here this sad news. I came across the obituary accidentally. Joe and I were third cousins. My grandmother and his grandmother were sisters. I grew up in Cortland, as well and now I live in Sayre. Sending my condolences to the family!

Dear Joanie, Jill, & Kim,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your dad was dear to our family--he was such a wonderful neighbor and friend.

I enjoyed reading the obituary because it is exactly how I remember your dad. He would sometimes invite us to see his Coca Cola memorabilia and once, he even let us take one of the antique toy trucks home! I also remember seeing him out on his regular walks with his friends (often bouncing a tennis ball while he walked). He was always so happy and joyful.

With deepest sympathy,
Ali DeSorbo-Quinn

I have so many great photos I'd like to share of Dad in some of his happiest moments with Mom and the family. I will post as many as they allow here so his friends and loved ones can remember him in these special moments.

I was lucky enough to have been Joe's next door neighbor for a few years. He was a fantastic neighbor and wonderful human. Rest in peace, Joe!

Joe was one of a kind....When I was 16-17 years old we used to visit Aunt Lou in Courtland. Joe would treat me like his younger brother. ( There was a 9 year difference in age) He was kind. I will miss him...

I have known Joe for a few years and it was a pleasure to have known him. We would meet on Wednesday mornings for breakfast with the guys. He was always in good spirits. My condolences for your loss. May he rest in peace. He will be missed at breakfast.
