Joseph Carrara Obituary
He was born in Tyson, July 5, 1915, son of Lorenzo and Stella (Querra) Carrara.
Joseph was employed by General Electric Co. for many years and served as a Deputy Sheriff in Rutland.
He was a member of Christ the King Church and a former member of Rutland Moose Lodge.
Surviving are a son, Larry Carrara of East Wallingford; a daughter, Beverly Eddy and husband, Thomas of Fredericksburg, VA; 3 granddaughters, Tammy Eddy Scandling of Alexandria, VA, Lorin Gides of Rutland and Lisa Enners of Bedford, N.H.; 5 great-grandchildren, Jack Scandling, Isabella and Joseph Gides, William and Eliana Enners; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth (Dumas) Carrara on Sept. 29, 2006; 3 brothers, Philip, Fermo and Chester Carrara.
At his request, there are no calling hours.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Private burial will be held at a later date in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Wallingford.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Church or to a charity of one's choice, care of Clifford Funeral Home, 2 Washington St., Rutland, VT 05701.
