Joseph M. Cassano Sr.

My deepest heartfelt thoughts are sent to you and your family during this time. Since I moved to Jersey City, and living right next door in 93, Joseph and the Mahnke Deli crew was always sweet and caring to me. Thanks for always making me smile after school with those curly fries.

I want to offer my deepest condolences to you, Bernice, and your family. I grew up on Palisade Avenue and Joe was a friend of mine when we were kids. Ironically, Joe's name came up in a conversation with friends here in California just last night when we were talking about the lottery. Whenever I was in NJ and had a moment to go by and see him in the store, he was always happy to see me. He worked hard for many years in the store, even back to high school. May God have mercy on his soul and give you and your family peace.

He worked very hard in his store for many years, and he was always happy to see me when I ocassionally was in N.J. May God rest his soul.

My deepest sympathies to the Cassano Family. I know there are no words to help in your time of sadness but may you find comfort in knowing the kind of man he was.

Joe Sr. was a formative figure in my life. In many ways he was like a second father to me and I thank him for his kindness and generosity. He will certainly be missed by his immediate family and all those that he touched throughout his life. God Bless you Joe Sr.
