It was always a pleasure to visit Joe and his wife in their condo, then later when they lived with my brother and his wife, Scott & Doreen. I enjoyed looking in on his jigsaw puzzles and helping him with his computer. Enjoyed spending time with him and his WWII buddies at the D.A.V. Great to hear from him stories of his role in WWII. Went on regular trips to the store with him for a while. He was luckier than most on the lottery. He loved watching the Pirates and Rays, and subscribed to NFL Red Zone, watching all the games at once. We will think about him when we watch those sports and miss him always.

My husband Joe and I worked many years with Joe at the DAV Bingo. Loved him and will miss him. Used to meet for breakfast periodically until I moved away. Our deepest sympathies to his family. He was a great guy.

For the short amount of time I was honored to share days with Papa, they are ones I will never forget. His amazing life should be an inspiration to all. I learned so much from him and was honored to be lucky enough to spend time with him.
