JOSEPH CULLEN Obituary
Age 70, of West Deer Twp., passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at his home. Born January 29, 1948, on the North Side, he was the son of Joseph R. and the late Bernadette (Micklos) Cullen. Joe was a CPA for St. Anthony School and loved to be outdoors. He is survived by his beloved wife, Janis Cullen, of West Deer Twp.; children, Jamie (John) Denk, of Allison Park, Jordan (Chelsea) Cullen, of Natrona Heights, Jodi Cullen of Gibsonia; grandchild, Tyler Denk; father, Joseph R. Cullen; brother, Dan (Mary Lee) Cullen of Iowa; sisters, Colleen (Jim) O'Donnell of Valencia, Megan (Kevin) Kratz of Cranberry Twp.; sister-in-law, Kim Cullen of Cranberry Twp. Also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernadette (Micklos) Cullen; and his brother, Richard Cullen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at St. Mary of Assumption R.C. Church, 2510 Middle Road in Glenshaw. He will be laid to rest in Christ Our Redeemer (North Side Catholic) in Pittsburgh. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at:

Dear Cullen Family,
I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Joe's passing! My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
When I saw Joe, (which was only once a yr at our school office site) I would always enjoy his stories and we would reminisce about the 'good ol days' growing up on the North Side, St. Leo's Grade School, sled riding down Hodgkiss Street and my dad (who was one of his scout leaders).
Joe will be sadly missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace. God Bless!

He took the time to teach me to love horses. He took the time to show me how to groom his horse, Mr. Brown, how to ride 'English". He was always patient with me. I used to ride Mr Brown in Riverview Park and haven't forgotten all that he taught me. Those were the best summers of my life. The teenage years, he gave me a hobby, and loant me his horse to love to keep me
out of trouble. I will always love him for that.
