Joseph Daley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 16, 2025.
Joseph P. "Joey" Daley, born January 2, 1957, passed away on March 11, 2025. He was the only child of Joseph and Patricia Daley and grew up in Lindenhurst, New York.

A graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pennsylvania, Joey was an exceptional student and a talented trumpeter. As a member of the Corps of Cadets band unit, he earned a full scholarship for his musical abilities. He had an extraordinary ear for music and could play back tunes on almost any instrument.

Joey married his first wife, Barbara Devine-White, and together they had three children: Adam (Jessica) Daley, Shannon Daley, and Erin Daley. He was also a proud grandfather to Conner Brock, Katie Daley, and Ryan Daley. Later in life, he married Kim Daley, his wife of 20 years. Through this union, he welcomed stepson Bobby (Karrie) Scott and grandchildren Brenden, Lily, and Austin Scott into his life.

A man of many talents and trades, Joey was a Ham Radio Operator, Licensed Firearms Dealer, Mechanic, Paramedic, Paramedic Instructor, Critical Care Registered Nurse, and the owner of Palm Imports, a poker chip-making company. He had a deep love for music-especially Pink Floyd-boating, fixing things, and animals. Known for his sharp wit and outgoing nature, he was always ready to lend a hand to neighbors in need of repairs. Whether barefoot by the grill with a cigar in hand or sharing stories with friends, Joey lived life to the fullest.

He will be deeply missed by those who knew him. Now reunited with his parents, Pat and Joe, his memory will live on in the hearts of many.

No matter how old we are, it´s difficult to lose a parent. My heart breaks, my thoughts and prayers go out to Erin, Shannon, Adam as well as all family and friends affected by his passing as you go through this difficult grieving process and beyond. I didn´t really get to know him well however, I know how wonderful he was just by knowing Erin and later, Shannon and Adam. May you reflect the best parts of him and find comfort in your memories he has left behind for you all
