JOSEPH DELIA Obituary
Age 89, of Glassport, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016. Husband of the late Stella Delia. He is survived by son, Joseph and wife, Barbara of Glassport; a daughter, Melanie Miller of Glassport; grandchildren, Jennifer Orris (Jason Sillaman) of Port Vue, Joan Henderson (Kertis) of Mebane, NC, Michael Hixenbaugh of Glassport, Dana Hixenbaugh of Glassport; great-grandchildren, Joseph Kerr, Ronald Orris, Erin Pastories, Nicholas Orris, Seth Ridge, Emmy Henderson, Richard Henderson; great- great-granddaughter, Stella Kerr. He was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Christine Delia; sisters, Mary Zeli, Rose Delia; and brother, James Delia. Joseph was a retired Assistant Police Chief of P and LE Railroad, former Police Chief of North Belle Vernon. He was a member of Queen of the Rosary Church, Western PA Chief of Police Association, American Legion Post 659, Belle Vernon, Club 22, Glassport, Elizabeth Twp. Sportsman Association, and a US Navy veteran of WWII. Friends received at the WOJCIECHOWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 640 Vermont Ave., Glassport Tues. 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass Wed. 10 a.m. Queen of the Rosary Church. Entombment Belle Vernon Cemetery.
