Hi Kris, Joey, Ronnie, Damien and Michael. I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Joe. My heart and prayers go out to you and your families. I wanted more than anything to be there for you guys at the funeral but it just wasn't possible. I wish you peace in this hard time. After a year I still find it hard to talk about my own father's passing so my heart truly goes out to each and every one of you. Uncle Joe will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful man. I do hope to see you soon but until then I will keep you in my prayers. All my love, Melissa (Tim & Zachary)

Gone too soon! I loved my cousin Joey. I admired his great sense of humor and generosity of spirit. I'll miss his hilarious impersonations and his big heart. He was such a great guy.

I was Mr. DellaVecchia's nurse many many times...and I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I just had him a few weeks ago and I remember he would always play tricks on me with my coworkers...he had a great sense of humor...he will be sorely missed. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that he had wanted so badly to take his grandchildren to Florida, but he told me that everytime that he had made arrangements he ended up back in the hospital. He always talked about his family and his love for them was apparent. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May your memories give you strength through this difficult time.

Our Hearts ache for all of you right now. I have never met anyone like "Pappa Joe". He was amazing - such a dear and caring man. I always felt so proud when anyone in my family used The DellaVecchia Funeral Home. Joe had found the true meaning of comfort in caring for families and I know his wife and sons will carry on the same. I will miss him but but I know he is with the LORD now and that is right where he needs to be. Our Love and Prayers to his beautiful family. He was so proud of all of you and loved you all so much. Our love and prayers are with you

I had the privilege of caring for Mr. Dellavecchia as a student nurse a few weeks ago, and I was so saddened to learn of his passing. My heart goes out to all of you who knew and loved him, but especially his wife. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers! I am so lucky to have gotten to know him, even for such a brief time.

We were so fortunate to have known Joe these past 14 years. He was such a fun, good hearted person who always made us smile if not laugh every time we spoke with him. He had a funny story to tell almost every time we would talk to him. Noone, anywhere, could have a neighbor half as nice as Joe was. Although he will be missed by all, the great memories of who he was as a loving husband, dedicated father and true friend to so many will never be forgotten.

I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of a dear friend, a friend of my mother and father, friend of the Cefaratti/Gentile family. As a little boy growing up in Southwest Philadelphia, I remember the many get togethers with Joe and Christine, and wonderful mother, Stella! I miss those times with him. Joe most recently handled the passing of my mother last year. He was always so respectful, courteous, and compassionate, and I loved talking with this vibrant man. I will miss his presence here on earth, and will always have the memories of times we shared together with the family.

I am so sorry to hear the loss of Joe. What a great person. I will miss his smiling face, him calling me as he was going down the Radiology halls, get me a private room. He always made me feel like a million dollars with a huge smile from ear to ear and of course always kept me on my toes! I will miss those hugs! Thank you so much! I am so honored to have known him. He is an angel looking down on us now! He will truly be missed by all! My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire DellaVecchia Family at this sad and most difficult time.

My sincere condolences to the DellaVecchia Family. I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Such a lovely man! He will be missed in West Chester and in the hearts of the many, many people he helped. He knew my brothers and when I lived in West Chester on Church St. DellaVecchia's was just a few doors down the block. It was nice to know that the Dellavecchia's were nearby.
