Joseph Detwiler Obituary
Born on November 5, 1951, Joey D. was a kind and gentle soul, cherished for his compassionate and respectful demeanor. He spent many years as a roofer, working alongside Dean Cannuli, and was a beloved softball coach, deeply rooted in his Beverly community.
Joey D. was a proud Navy veteran, His love for life was evident in his passion for Harleys and his deep affection for his wife, Glenda Meredith Detwiler.
Their 28-year marriage was a testament to true love, enduring all of life's challenges over 38 years with unwavering support for each other. He is survived by his devoted wife Glenda, his sister in law Joann Ordiway (Kevin), cherished shih tzu Tater, and numberious neices, nephews and friends across New Jersey and Florida. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Atzert, his siblings Leachy, Janice, Brian. His mother in law Bunny and their beloved dogs Wiggles,Gizmo and Scruffy.
Celebration of life will be determined. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Judges children's hospital a cause closer to Joey's heart where he contributed for over 30 years. Joey's legacy of kindness, love and community service will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
