Joseph Reid Durbin

I was very sorry to hear of Mr. Durbin's passing. I had been thinking of him lately and went on-line to try to find him to call him. I was shocked to find his obituary instead.
What a great guy and a true hero among heroes. I will remember him as the father of one of my best childhood friends and someone I respected a great deal. Someone who was entertaining with his war stories (sanitized for us young boys in the neighborhood) and his attention to his family.
My condolences to Mrs. Durbin and Cathy Lynne. I miss you all.

Long ago memories so clear today as I think of an always smiling "Mr. Durbin" !Remembering " life advice" as Cathy and I shared his company in the den! Hugs to you, Cathy and your dear mom and family.

I was so sad to read this in newspaper. Our city has lost a wonderful, kind man. Dear Evie and Cathy, what an honor to have had such an outstanding person in your life.
