Anderson Jr. of Richmond, KY, Jeff Anderson (Kim) of Richmond, KY, and Joel Anderson of Somerset, KY. In addition to her parents and husband, Sheila was preceded in death by her two brothers, Thomas Benny Handley and Gerald Cleo Handley. She leaves behind a host of other family and friends who will deeply mourn her passing.Shelia was A Woman of God driven by faith, family and business. She was fiercely protective of 'her boys' (Her sons, grandsons and great-grandsons) and she loved shopping and spending time with her granddaughter, great-granddaughters and nieces. She enjoyed playing softball and basketball and she became the coach of the Monticello High School girls basketball team, coaching them to win a regional title. She loved spending time at the lake fishing with her family and spending time on the beach digging for sharks teeth and seashells. She was former school nurse, and eventually went on to become an entrepreneur and small business owner. She was an owner of a carpet mill in Dalton, Georgia; Anderson Carpet in London; and Anderson Carpet, Anderson Wallpaper Store and I-75 Storage all in Richmond. Being able to spend time with and work closely beside her family was something she very proud of. Her years of dedication and support of her family are beyond compare. Sheila, Snookie, Mrs. Anderson, Mom, Aunt Sheila, Nannie. She went by many names and wore many hats but 'Nannie' was her name most of the time. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with almost every other person who met her came to call her 'Nannie'. Because she welcomed and cared for everyone knew, she really was everyone's 'Nannie'. Up and down the docks at Grider Hill and Lees Ford, that's who she was, Nannie, the lady who likes to fish! She always had a bucket full of bluegill she had caught, ready to clean and fry up. And she ALWAYS had a line or 2 out in the water! Being At the lake, surrounded by as many family members and friends as possible, was her favorite place to be. Lake Cumberland will never be the same without her. A faithful, strong and resilient little powerhouse with an unwavering faith in the Lord. She will be forever missed, but the impact she had on so many of us will continue to be seen for generations to come.We all Thank you Nannie, for everything.'
