Joseph Feller Obituary
He was an Air National Guard veteran and retired from Naval Ordnance. He was a 1953 graduate of St. Xavier High School and was a longtime member at St. Barnabas Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Eleanor Feller; a brother, Ambrose Jr.; and sister, Nonie Wolf.
"Pops" is survived by his wife, Jo Ann (Lynn) Feller; children, Mary Lynn Speaker (Jim), J. David Feller Jr. (Janet) and Steven E. Feller (Suzanne); sisters, Mary Ann Ice and Helen Mullin; brothers, Martin Feller and George Feller; and grandchildren, Lauren Speaker and Caroline, Claire and Alex Feller.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 3042 Hikes Lane, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands Funeral Home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. X, or the Kosair Children's Hospital (Pediatric Oncology).

I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out this morning after 10am. I would have been there for the funeral.I remember when we first met in 1974, he said to me "DON'T CAUSE ANY WAVES, AS THEY WILL SWALLOW YOU UP". I have never forgotten his good advice. I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out this morning that Joe had died.I first met him at NOSL IN 1974."HE SAID TO ME THESE WORDS" DON'T CAUSE ANY WAVES, AS THEY WILL SWALLOW YOU UP." I have always remembered this.He is now in Heaven with God...A former co-worker and friend at NOSL--Sandy Catapano Slater. I am so sorry that I did not know until after 10am this morning....I would have been there.

As a 1953 St. X classmate, I extend my deepest sympathy to Jo Ann and the family on Joe's departure into eternal life. Although I have not seen him since St. X days, the smile on his face shows the spirit that will be missed; but be assured, that his spirit will always be with you and life and love are eternal, only his physical being departed from us, albeit, too early. May this knowledge bring you some measure of comfort, and may all of his family realize their goals and ambitions, their health, hopes and happiness, in God's love, honor and glory.
