Joe had this amazing power to make you feel immediately a part of his family. We lived next to each other for many years in a magical place and he always embraced you with a warmth and light that made you feel you were home. Missing him very much.

I met Joe one memorable evening w Mike Peel. It was a extended limo journey to an obscure distant restaurant hours away. On the return in the wee hours as most were dozing Joe and Sally were "dumped" on the streets of 80's Manhattan by an impatient member of the group. A bad ending to a bad evening. Said member has never been forgiven but that was the beginning of our 40 year relationship w Joe and Sally.

Of all the people I've known, Joe was one of the most interesting. Unfortunately, I have lost touch with Joe and Sally for some time now, but I have many pieces of art they collected in my house as a constant reminder of our friendship. My condolences to Sally.

We had a special connection all of us in Via San Leonardo that still lives on in my heart to this day... so many beautiful days and evenings shared together, we will be bonded forever. Love to you Joe and to you Sally from Sandro and me.

Uncle Joe Popcorn, you will be missed. So many memories. Visiting in NYC and rolling our rrrrr´s so loudly in a restaurant we almost got kicked out. Joe babysitting three year old Tom in SF so Sally and I could have a sister night out and when we got home late, both still up reading magazines and eating popcorn. Visits at my camp on Frye, eating lobster, butter dripped on pants which became our mission to get the stain out. So many memories. And so very grateful that we got to have a beautiful visit last February in FL. It has been a gift knowing you Joe. We will all miss you, of course mostly Sally. Sally, I pray you are finding peace in the lifetime of memories you shared. Rest in peace Joe; see you again I´m sure.

Joe, to an amazing man, a true character, the world is lesser by your absence.

I met Joe decades ago at Citicorp, where he had a major influence on my career and personal development. Yes, he was responsible for "permanently altering the balance of power and the fundamental relationship between management and unions in several countries" - in my case, Jamaica in the early 80s. He was a source of incredible knowledge and energy. I was also privileged to connect with Joe in New York, Lima, Hong Kong, and Florida over the course of many years. I valued his friendship and help, and my heartfelt condolences go out to Sally and family.

Joseph was the renaissance man. I first met him while working at a restaurant 15 years ago. I always looked forward to seeing him and Sally come in and share stories about their lives. He will truly be missed. He was a gift to this world.
