Msgr. Findlan was an exceptional person. When my father passed away at an early age, he helped our family get thru the toughest days of our lives. He truly was a man of God and will be greatly missed. God has truly gained an angel.

To the Family and Friends of Monsignor Findlan,
You have my deepest sympathies on the passing of this wonderful priest. I was in high school when Father came to St Canice and served many a Mass with Father as celebrant. He was a kind and caring man. I will remember him in my prayers.

Dear Findlan Family:
My sympathy on the loss of Msgr. Findlan. He led a wonderful, priestly life.
Msgr. baptized me at St. John the Baptist and was our beloved Pastor when I was a child. He was inspiring and kind. Be sure of my prayers. God bless you. I will offer Mass here on the Base for Monsignor Findlan's happy rest.

I have wonderful memories of Msgr. Findlan from when he was chaplain at the Sisters of Divine Providence Motherhouse and a moral theology instructor for the novices. He was a kind and generous priest, and when the Pirates played in the World Series of 1960, we novices had no access to radio or newspapers to know the scores of the games. He managed to write the scores of each game and passed them on to the chapel sacristan, who let us know so that we could still celebrate the team--even if we could not listen to any of the games.
Rest in peace, Msgr. Thanks for the memories and your ministry of many decades.
