Joe did the absolute best work in the North East. I have the pleasure and the privilege of showcasing a most exquisite backpiece done by Joe. I cherish my tattoo for it's sentimental value. He truly was an artist as well as a visionary. He'll be missed by all that were fortunate enough to know him.

Jodi,
I just found out today that Joe passed away. I was in total shock. I have not seen you or Joe in many years but I was well aware of his tattoo store and planned on going there in the very near future. I just wish I had only went sooner.

I remember seeing you and Joe alot in the school halls together throughout the years. Although I have not seen either of you in a longtime it saddens me very much that another young life from our good old "GLENS FALLS HIGH" is gone.

Keep your chin up...

Joe,
You will be missed greatly but you have left your mark on many people "literally" :). Today we found out the news. We were waiting until we had enough money for more ink. I was going to call and email you this week to see how you were and visit you in a few weeks, then my brother in-law called and told me the news. I have known you for over 10 yrs now and remember the times hanging out with you at the old spot across from the Civic Center w/Mia and Rusty. You were one of the most kind hearted people I knew and we will never forget you! You will forever be with many of us in our hearts and on our skin. Our deepest condolences go out to you and your family.

August 22, 2007

Joe, I called you today to say hello and to tell you I can't wait to get home in the spring so we can get together again. When your cell wasn't working I called the Tattoo Clinic and I didn't want to believe them, how could it be true. My friend, so full of life is gone.

There is no measuring the pain of losing you. I will cherish celebrating our Birthdays together last month, and will forever be thankfull I was able to tell you I loved you. You were an instant friend when I met you 17 years ago, when you were just 17 years old. I watched you learn tattooing from Skully while he tattooed my leg. I was so excited it was going to be you teaching my son Dylan how to tattoo this spring. It will be hard to find anyone so down to earth and real to teach him now. In your honor he will become a great artist like you.

My last tattoo done by you on 7/16/07 completed a balance, so I want thank you from the bottom of my soul. I feel at peace, yet sad I can't hug you anymore.

Please feel the love you're friends and family will have for you forever. I hope you have found your eternal bliss with Rusty at your side.
RIP Love Shelly

Joe-
You were my first...and my last! You doing my first & only tattoo was fate...i had tried several times prior and it never worked out. I realize that God wanted our paths to cross as well as all the others at the Colondar shoot. After meeting you at the shoot, i've thought about you many days. You made such an impac on me! I felt a connection...i now realize that is how you made everyone feel... like they were the only person on this planet. With all your humor and talent, I will miss you my friend and am honored to have a piece of you with me forever! Rest in peace...

Although I didn't know Joe that well, I've had plenty of piercings and sat with my friend Stephy just three days before while she was tattooed and assured by joe himself that her tattoo was official. When saying "Joe has touched many lives", i'd have to agree. Joe Forth will never be forgotten!

Jodi,
Words cannot express how sorry I am to hear about your brother's passing.

He was such a talented and caring person. When he did my tattoo this past winter it seemed like he was finally getting a handle on things. He was looking forward to branching out with his artwork showing Shauna and me his drawings and talking about where he was planning to go with his talents. He was the proud uncle sharing stories about the girls, catching us up on Nova Jane and joking about Emily having her uncles hairline. He seemed to be truly happy.

I'm proud to say that I now carry a pretty sizeable piece of his art on my back. Getting a tattoo was something I never thought I would do, and were it not for Joe I probably never would have done it. Josh also has two tats done by him one of which was done late this spring and at the time Josh commented on how good Joe looked.
I wish I could have attended the services to see you and Nova, your mom, dad and grandma in person but circumstances worked out otherwise. Joe was and is a beautiful spirit who will be missed by many.
I can only imagine what you and your family are going thru right now. To say that I'm sorry for your loss seems so inadequate but please know that it is truly heartfelt and that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am profoundly saddened by this tragic loss. Joe was a remarkable person, a phenomenal artist, and the best dad two dogs could ask for. I feel so lucky that I had the chance to work with you, even for the short time that I did. Although there was no monetary gain, a kiss on the cheek every night was payment enough. I will miss you more than I could explain. My heart weeps for Joe's mother, Mia, and all of the boys and ladies from the shop. Rest in peace, Joe.

You ran a great business and you were a great neighbor. I will miss seeing you at Hess and in the parking lot. Thanks for the beautiful tattoos you did for me. You touched my life and now my heart hurts so much. I know you are at peace now. Your family will be in my prayers.
