My thoughts and prayers go out to the Gazzola family for your loss. Having played for the hogs many years ago I know what being family and taking care of young boys who most have little or nothing and treating them like your own children. Thank you for your support and I am sorry for your loss. God Bless.

Janie and family, I was truly saddened by hearing of Pat's passing. My husband, Paul, and Pat were in law school together and nurtured that early friendship bond as Razorback loyals and Catfish Hole lovers. Pat was always more than gracious to accept our call to "hold a table for 12" and bring on the melted honey butter! Paul passed away nearly two years ago and please know, Janie, that if I can be of help in the days and months ahead, I would consider it an honor to encourage you. With fondest memories of good times and prayers for great comfort. Lamentations 3:22-23

I have been heartbroken ever since I saw that Pat had passed away on Saturday. I can remember when he use to always buy Baked Apple Home Interior Candles to burn in the bathrooms @ the restaurant. He always gave my daughter (red headed) Kaitlin & I a big huge. He was always smiling & we loved going to eat the fried fish. My dad is in heaven too but that was his favorite place to go. I have pictures of all of my family standing outside after we ate all that good catfish. You are all in our thoughts & prayers. He will be greatly missed by all. He was dedicated to The Razorbacks....I hope they have a great season while Pat looks down at each game played. Go Hogs

Dearest Janie and family,
My heart is broken but joyful all at once knowing that Pat is perfectly healed in heaven.
I am fortunate to be a part of your Catfish Hole family. I will forever cherish each of you for teaching me how to be the best I can be at everything in life.
You and Pat guided us to work as a team and I miss that teamwork every day.
I want you to know that this sad moment has once again reunited our team. There are over 160 of us employees now connected on Facebook to reminisce.
Love you so much.

So sorry to hear of your family's loss. Pat was great to work with in the oil and gas business in Ft. Smith. We also fully enjoyed Janie's frequent visits to our candy store in Central Mall, the location of Pat's office. We still laugh about their skunk story. Pat will be sorely missed and I wish some peace for Janie and her family through this period.

It has been well over twenty years since I last met Janie; it was in her and Pat's home in Fort Smith before they got into the restaurant business. I know only a little bit about how she and Pat met, but know enough to know that she has been a very positive influence on Pat and a good wife. Thank you, Janie, for all that you did for and with my cousin Pat, and I can't do anything more here than wish you all the best now. I am so glad that my sister and I got to sit and talk with Pat in his Fayetteville restaurant during my 2009 and 2010 visits to Arkansas; those visits certainly meant a lot to my sister Pam. I'm adding a photo here, taken shortly before I was born in the home that I was raised in in Greenwood. You can see Pat waving at the camera from behind his father, my Uncle Ben. To the left you see Pat's mother, Juanita, who is holding his sister, Jerri.

The Razorback family has lost one of its most loyal and faithful members. Pat was a dear and welcoming friend to all who had the pleasure of dining at The Catfish Hole. It was definitely Coach Broyles' "go to" restaurant and first on his list for catering Razorback events. Heaven has gained a very special man who will be truly missed here on earth.
