A life well lived and fulled to the max. Always a treat to meet and walk with him to the lighthouse at Eastern Point.

I was sorry to hear that Dr. Joe had died and can only imagine the huge absence that he has left in your lives. When I was a young surgeon years ago, he gave me advice and guidance...later, we would enjoy trading stories, my favorite of which was how he made plywood P.T. boats as a teenager for the Navy during WWII. He was a gifted surgeon and a very unique and friendly guy that I was thrilled to know. Please accept my sorrow along with yours.

We met Joe in Naples, FL. We were privileged to know this wonderful and humorous person who had a very accomplished medical and military career. We often talked about our U.S. Navy experiences and tennis activity. We have fond memories of our visit with he and Katie in their home in Gloucester where we were treated to his special lobster dinner and told the family history of ship building. He was a man for all seasons and he will be missed.

We are all told to"live life to the full" and that is the example Joe left me with. Always having a twinkle in His eye and laughter that brightened my day. Peace Joe & Katie.

What a life you lived! There was so much packed into those 94 years. So many, like myself were profoundly touched by your presence among us. We were all graced and honored for having known you. You will always be one of my "heroes."

A wonderful man with a kind heart and sunny disposition. My wife, Hilda and I remember with fondness visiting Joe and Katie in Gloucester where we were treated to a wonderful lobster dinner before Joe beguiled us with a video presentation on the history of Gloucester. He will surely be missed

I´m so sorry to read of Mr Gearys passing. What a sweet man that I liked and respected. Taught me more about ballistics in his kitchen than 28 years as a policeman. Peace and love to all the Gearys; a beautiful man that will be missed.
