Joe was always a good and loyal friend of mine, we spent a lot of time together as young men playing our favorite sports softball and golf. We seemed to work the same jobs all of our life, ten years at a machine shop then after that closed down it was Joe's idea to apply at the Phila. Prisons where we worked together for the next 28 years.
Joe was one of the smartest guys I knew, at the machine shop he got involved with the union as a delegate with great success and quickly moved through the ranks at PPS, to Deputy Warden. My thoughts are with Helen, Joe's devoted wife. He's gone too soon Helen. Rest in peace my friend.
