You have been a good friend both at work and when we were hanging out. Great to have be able to know you, to think of someone at a time like this and have good thoughts. To me says alot about how good a person you were.

I am a childhood friend of the Guthrie's. We knew Joe as Big Joe and his son as Little Joe. My memories of Big Joe was he always had a story to tell and plenty of jokes to try and make us laugh. He always liked to hang around all of us as teenagers and his home always made us feel welcomed. It was a safe place to go and get loved on by him and Janie.Their house was always full of laughter. We, the Bailey family, miss him dearly, as we had grown together in our little corner of Newport News together for over 20 years until us young ones got older and moved out. Much love to the Guthrie family.
