Joseph Jarzynka Obituary
June 12, 1977 - March 5, 2023
Tacoma, Washington - Joseph David Jarzynka, beloved father, husband, son, sibling and friend, passed away on March 5, 2023 at the age of 45. He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Joe was born in Muskegon, Michigan and raised in Adrian, Michigan before he and his family moved to Gig Harbor, Washington in 1990. An exceptional student-athlete, Joe excelled in football and soccer, receiving the MVP of Pierce County League and second-team all-state for football.
In 1995, Joe walked on to the University of Washington football team, where he won the hearts of his teammates and Husky Nation, as he earned a role as a kickoff and punt returner, then gradually as a receiver. His long flowing locks of blonde hair and refusal to call a fair catch helped earn him widespread popularity.
After college, Joe continued to play sports in his spare time, as a member of the South Sound FC and then the Tacoma Stars soccer organization, as an inspirational player and coach.
An avid fisherman, golfer, guitar player, commercial real estate broker and "self-taught handy man", Joe was the life of the party and made friends wherever he went.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer, his two incredible children, Madelin and Fisher, along with his parents, David and Susan, and siblings, Julie and Tom.

I am so sorry for Joes family´s loss. Joe and I worked together in the commercial real estate industry. He was a wonderful person and I will miss him immensely.

I remember sitting in the stands in husky stadium watching Joe,
Is inspiring enough to describe this amazing man?
I don´t think anyone ever inspired me more than Joe, how to be brave, and loyal ,and a real Man. God Bless you Joe.

My deepest condolences to Joe´s family and friends for their unimaginable loss.
I never met Joe, but I did see him play when he was at Gig Harbor. Best all around high school football player I´ve ever seen.
