Dr. Joe was great man, father, leader and pillar of inspiration in the local South Florida community as well as determination and hope he gave to everyone. Our Family has known the Kalbac family since 70's from his association with the University of Miami athletics, to friendly get togethers, Paella Party's with family, friends and yes Racquet Ball at the house. Everyone loved Dr. Joe's sense of humor, intelligence and special fondness and love for his family as well as his profession as a great Doctor of Orthopedic Medicine.

And what a Doctor he was and always will be remembered as. When he spoke, everyone listened because you had to know it was going to be brilliant. God bless YOU Dr. Joe, your entire family and your legacy as a great doctor, person, father and gift you gave everyone around you and to the University of Miami athletics.

From all the thousands of UM athletes and peope you touched, YOU will be always be remembered for many lifetimes over and over again! Our deepest sympathy and loss of a great man, doctor, friend and father to the entire Kalbac family.....
Coach Bill Diaz, Martha, William, John and Rick.

I fondly remember Dr. Kalbac from way back in the past. Many a time I spent at the house off of Miller Road (behind Cozy Corners). My brother and I would play with Melanie, Danny, and all of the other Kalbac siblings. Then the big house on Miller we would swim and have lots of fun. We always felt so welcomed by the love of such a big family. I know how hard it is to lose a loved one and my heart and prayers are with all of you. Thank you for wonderful memories.
