Always an engaging conversationalist on baseball, Joe could recall entire MLB rosters from 60 years ago, providing colorful anecdotes from the past and shrewd insights on current teams and players. After all, what is baseball without its history? He will be sorely missed at extended family gatherings, but we can all bask in the sunshine of his progeny---Denise, Anne, Donna, Kristine, and Michael and their wonderful spouses and terrific grand children as well as great grandchildren.

Joe was awesome...I worked with him at M&M/MARS and STS...he was always positive & passionate about his family, baseball and MARS. Joe always was sharing about his 5 kids and grandkids. He always
told a great story about everyone he knew.
A true gentleman husband, father and coworker.

Joe was a great person. We worked together at MM/Mars for 17 years and stayed closed freinds for the last 28 years. The words honesty, integrity, friedship and respect for others descibes exactly how Joe lived his life.I'll never forget the great times we had talking baseball and working together.I am blessed to have known him. What a fantastic person and friend

To the Katnich family...deepest condolences on loss of Joe. Im thinking of all the many positive memories of Joe. He truly was one of kindest people Ive ever know and had the integrity, character, passion and work ethic that was indeed special. Two things Ill never forget about Joe...never knew a person that didnt like/love him and he had a passion like no other when it came to baseball. We will miss him, but never forget him.

Kristine, Michael, Denise, Ann, and Donna, I am so sorry to hear about your father. I just read the news and now I'm sitting at my desk at work and thinking about growing up in San Pedro. I remember how when Joe worked for the candy company your grandmother always seemd to have an endless supply candy bars whenever we went to see her. I miss them. I hope you are all well and know that my prayers will be with you.
