Joseph William Keyes, 65, died January 8, 2025, at his home. Born on May 29, 1959, to Donald Keyes and Helen Kohlmeyer. Joe graduated from Wykoff High School in 1978 and subsequently attended Jackson Vocational Tech, where he earned his degree as an electrician.

On April 25, 1987, Joe married the love of his life, Karen Weyandt, in a ceremony held in Rochester, MN. He dedicated 42 years of his life to his profession as a Union Electrician, where his skill and dedication were widely recognized.

Joe was passionate about serving his community, actively participating for over 30 years at his church, Holy Cross LCMS. Joe participated in 15 mission trips with SEMAC, where he touched the lives of many through his selfless acts of kindness. His commitment to volunteer work in his church reflected his deep-seated belief in helping others.

Joe found joy in bird watching, hunting, bicycle riding, and snowmobiling. He cherished the moments spent at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch, creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Joe is survived by his beloved spouse, Karen Keyes, son Calven Keyes, siblings Ellen Collett, Sarah Zachow, Tim (Cindy) Keyes, Peter (Marci) Keyes, Lois (Rob) DeYonker, Mary Flachs, Ben (Theresa) Keyes, and Danelle (Jon Loba) Keyes. Joe is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Jerome, Mark, Lee, Roger and David.

A memorial service will be held at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home (5421 Royal Pl NW, Rochester, MN 55901) on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home on Friday, January 17th, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm as well as an hour prior to the service on Saturday.
