Songs highlight our lives. Last night on TV´s "The Voice", the song "Take Me Home, Country Roads" was performed. Joe was serving in Vietnam when John Denver recorded this song. I will always link Joe and John, their guitars and soothing music at a tumultuous time in our country.
Maybe Joe used the "road" idea to pen his children´s book " Join Me on the Road"? A true gift his granddaughters could " take home".
Blessings to the Ramirez and Le Vesque families as we enter the Christmas season and the anniversary of Joe´s "sleeping in Heavenly peace".

Joe, you are dearly missed on coffee with the coaches. We reminisce of you stories. I meant to say this last years post. My grandson was born on Jan 27th a couple of days before your passing which is why I feel there is a connection. The picture is of him on his first birthday.

I pray that you are looking down on your family and protecting them.

Promise kept. Visited Joe at the DFW National Cemetery while I was visiting my dad. Played them both Lee Greenwood´s "God Bless the USA". Shed my tears, but left with a smile, thankful for the blessing of knowing Joe. On so many levels loved seeing "ETERNALLY FISHING"

Bianca, I´m just now seeing the news of Joe´s passing. I remember when he came home from Viet Nam (first person I knew close to my age who had been to war). With a true servant´s heart he played guitar at Mass and was an example to so many of us who started teaching CCD classes. I remember being at your wedding-daisies was it? Joe kept an organized life with everything written down in a day timer. Details kept him going in that Gremlin! I´m so sorry for the family´s loss. I am very greatful to having grown up with the LeVesque and Rameriz families at St. Matthew. Will pay my respects to him when I visit my dad at DFW Veteran´s Cemetery.

May he rest in peace. I taught Hi School CCD at St Mathews and Joe was one of my pupils. He also attended a Cursillo Weekend tat I was also involved in. We became good friends and even stayed at his home in , I believe San Antonio, when my daughter Kathy graduated from college. I lost track of him and his lovely wife and her family that I knew quite well also. So sorry for your loss and God give you peace in these times. I well remember what was said to me when my wife Joan passed away: "You may not be doing well right now but she is doing great." Same with Y' all and Joe.

Joe, you will be missed and I'm sadden by the fact that I didn't get to meet you in person. As I said on the coffee with the coaches you remind me of my brother who was a Vietnam vet as well and I hope you see him up in heaven. You will be in my prayers!
