Nicole, we reach out to you from across the miles. The adventures that you and Doug would document on Facebook always made my heart sing. Your partnership was akin to the committed marriage of Aunt Bernie and Uncle Jack. Eternal be Doug's memory! His joie de vivre lives on within you and those touched by his life. Peace be with you, Nicole. Your cousins in Connecticut, Robyn Hoffmann and Brent Eugenides

Dougie was such a great guy, man, and friend. I have countless cherished memories of spending time with him and our friend group from Tampa Prep. And more recently, when I briefly moved back to Tampa several years ago. His humor, kindness, and intelligence made him so easy and comfortable to be around. His love of music and travels bode for many incredible stories of a life well-lived. I adored spending time with him and Nicole and wish her, as well as all of his loved ones, my warmest condolences. May Doug rest peacefully. He will never be forgotten. Much love, Beth(ie)

Since Doug and I met several years back, we shared an amazing amount of experiences together. From walking into the world of education, making our way through that world, off to personal adventures, and back at the pub a few years. We wreaked havoc in high school, mostly thinking up pranks to pull while fishing with a few beverages after school. Anyway, I am glad he and I knew each other. I will always cherish the friendship that he and I had. I wish we had shared a few more memories, but as life winds away as it does, things get in the way. Thanks for so many smiles, and furious gut jolting laughs. You were one of the best. I miss you everyday, been a few.. Happy Fishing my friend!
