Albuquerque - Joseph (Joe) M. Weishaupt, age 98, was called to his eternal home on Friday, March 7th, 2025. Joseph was born in Washington Court House, Ohio on September 5th, 1926, to Joseph and Chlio Weishaupt.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Kane Weishaupt; his parents, Joseph and Chlio Weishaupt; his sister, Louise Weishaupt, and twin brothers, Danny and Dick Weishaupt. He is survived by his children, Michael (Sandy) Weishaupt, Tracy (Ed) Hyde, stepson, Jim (Karen) Christian; grandchildren, David Cucchiara, Troy (Sherry) Cucchiara, Jessica (Mike) Aguirre, Matthew (Mattie) Hyde, Andrew (McKall) Hyde, Michael Hyde, Heather (Brandon) Workman, and Kyle Christian, and several great-grandchildren.

Joe was a proud US Army veteran who entered the service just before his graduation from Lancaster High School in May 1945. He was en route to serving in the Japanese theatre when World War II ended September 1945. He continued service in the US Army for one more year on mainland Japan and the Philippines, assisting with ordinance disposal; and then becoming a carpenter. Upon completion of his service, Joe returned home to Lancaster Ohio, attended trade school, studying to become a refrigeration technician; he married Georgia Kane in 1949 and entered the Coca-Cola business with his family in Lancaster, Ohio. They eventually moved to New Mexico in the late 1950's to start the 7 up Bottling Company in Santa Fe. Joe managed and eventually owned the Bottling Company until his retirement in 2001. He was a highly respected businessman who was loved by his employees and will be remembered by all who knew him as a kind, generous and thoughtful man.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 25th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the FRENCH - Westside Chapel. Please visit our online guestbook for Joseph at www.FrenchFunerals.com.
