Joseph A. Mailloux Sr.

Joseph a. Mailloux, Sr., 85, of 1748 Highland Ave., Fall River, formerly of Riverside Ave., Tiverton and No. Wall St., Fall River, died Monday at Highlander Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

He was the husband of the late Grace (Thornton) Mailloux.

Born in Fall River, the son of the late Come T. and Amelia (St.Pierre) Mailloux, he lived in Fall River most of his life and in Tiverton for several years.

He had been employed by Poirier Buick and was a real estate broker and was past-president of the Dover Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Arlene Turgeon of Fall River;
a son, Joseph A. Mailloux, Jr. of Fall River;
3 stepsons, Frederick Perry of Bridgeport, CT, Ronald Perry of Riverside, RI and Thomas Perry of Fall River;
a sister, Rita Foster of Bridgeport, CT;
a brother, Gerald Mailloux of Hartford, CT;
grandchildren, including Joseph and Scott Mailloux and Bridget and David Turgeon and
great-grandchildren, including Sydney Pacheco.

He was the beloved friend of the late Lucy Bernier, the stepfather of the late Robert Perry and Dorothy Satmary and brother of the late Lucienne and Alfred Mailloux.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church, Eastern Ave., at 10:00. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
