I worked with Joe at the LVVWD 2004-2005. In just a short time, he became a close friend. I´ll miss my afternoon coffees at Starbucks with Joe and our long and varied conversations. I´m sorry to hear he has passed, but am forever glad to have know him and to have been his friend.

My dear love, I can´t believe it has been a year since God called you home. He saw your struggles and pain and reached down from Heaven to release you from further sufferings. I miss you every day and I will always miss you and love you! Until we meet again, I carry you in my heart.

Oh Joe, please say it isn´t so .. I am terribly saddened by your passing. The world has lost a true gentleman!
I´ll forever cherish all of our conversations about our heritage, foods, wines, work, retirement, our families, travels, life and death. Thank you for mentoring me, giving me advice and looking out for me over the past 3 decades. Every time you come to mind, like you are right now, I´ll always picture your sheepish side grin followed with your side eyed glare and the head nod. We always joked and laughed. I loved our friendship! You were one of the good ones Joey and you will be missed so very much! Your love for Linda is eternal as you really were the perfect couple. Keep watch over her as I´m sure you will. Until we meet again, rest in peace Giuseppe ...

I am imagining Joey and my Mom, Gisella, the family's Master Chef and Joeys Grandma--- who had a special place in their hearts for one other---cheffing up a multi-course Italian feast together for the family and all comers in heaven's kitchen to the delight of all.
To all Joey's loved ones, especially Linda and Margie, Joey lives on in our fond memories of him as a special man who was and is as good as bread.
