Joseph M. Martin Sr.

Joseph M. Martin Sr. was born March 24, 1925 in Boomer, West Virginia and went home to be with the Lord March 1, 2009. Joe was a member of Point Lick Gospel Tabernacle, retired from Quality Press, addicted to golf, and loved his family. He celebrated numerous hole- in-ones and will be missed by his family, friends, and his for legged companion, Haus. He is survived by his loving wife, Lola Mae (Grass) Martin; daughter, Paula Jo Campbell; and son, Joe, Jr. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Carl B. Tindell and Rebekah R. Martin; and his younger brother, Richard. A celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with the Rev. Clarence Hutton and the Rev. Joseph Martin Jr. officiating. The entombment service will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. His family and friends will gather for the visitation Tuesday, March 3, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Thanks to the tender aid of Hospice and the grace of God, this quick-witted man was able to live out his last days at home with family and friends.
