Even though we had the opportunity to be together a few times, they were memorable ones and we enjoyed having you at our home and seeing you at Frank's and Mary Ann's. How I wish we didn't let time pass by and that we weren't together more. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Mary.
God bless you and your family,

Dear Mary and Family,
What s GREAT man! What a GREAT loss!
My sympathy and prayers are with you.
Everytime I think of Joe all I can hear is his wonderful laugh! Now he and my uncle(Doc) are celebrating in heaven! Can't you just hear the ruckus and laughter they are causing? God is probably asking "Who let these two get together?" May his love and all you shared together enfold you with the peace and joy he is experiencing! And don't forget ALL that he can and will do for you NOW!
God will surely have a sore ear!
My prayers and sympathy,
Sr. Colleen Dougherty. IHM

Aunt Mary, Patrick, Margaret, Mary and Nancy,
I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Joe was such a great man…truly loved by everyone who knew him. When I remember him I think of someone who was the epitome of a “man’s man” and a devoted loving family man. I’ve no doubt the pain and sense of loss you all feel now is profound but please know that with time the pain subsides, somewhat, and all that will remain are wonderful memories of a man who touched so many people in such a positive way. God Bless. Nephew/Cousin, Dennis

McGrath Family,
Joan and I were shocked to learn of your recent loss. Joe was wonderful man his devotion to his family was evident in his character. Those of us who had the experience in spending some time with Joe quickly realized that he had two loves…his family and firefighting. I spent many nights talking and listening to Joe express his unimaginable devotion for the art of firefighting
He was so well liked that it seems hard to believe he is no longer with us. Those of us who loved him so much will mourn his passing, but he will never be forgotten.
Joe we will miss you!
Sincerely,
Jim and Joan Smith

Dearest Mary and Family,
We were so surprised to hear about Joe. My heart and prayers go with you today and always. Joe was an exceptional person, from firefighting days to present. He truly blessed us every day with a smile, a short story, always praising his family, and just full of life. Today, we are saddened, but we will take a little piece of Joe and continue a tradition of family first. Thank you for the time we had with him. May you rest in peace, Joe.
