Joseph Frederick McNeil

Joseph Frederick McNeil, Jr., 59, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2023, in Springhill, Florida. Born on September 12, 1964, Joe was the son of Florence McNeil and the late Joseph McNeil, Sr.

Joseph attended Langley High School and went on to pursue higher education at the Community College of Allegheny County, where he studied Respiratory Therapy. He was the owner of his own drone business. He was passionate about his work and strived to be the best in everything that he did.

Outside of work, Joe had a wide range of hobbies and interests. He had a love for photography, both on the ground and from the sky with his drones. He enjoyed capturing the world through his camera lens. Joe also held a passion for hunting and was an avid supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. He would often spend his weekends cheering on his favorite teams.

Joseph is survived by his mother, Florence McNeil; daughters, Taylor McNeil (Brenden White), Alexa McNeil, and Krista McNeil; his granddaughter, Mallory White; his grandson, Walker Bedillion; his sister, Donna Valentino (Joe Valentino); and his brother, Paul O'Hanlon (Lori Levin). He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph McNeil, Sr.

The family thanks everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy, prayers, and all acts of kindness extended to them during their time of bereavement. A private ceremony will be held for immediate family to honor his life and celebrate the memories they shared. Joseph held a great love for his daughters and will be missed deeply by those who had the privilege of knowing him. A tribute to honor his life will be announced by his daughters at a later date.
