Sue and Family,
Deeply saddened to hear of Joe's passing. Both Catharine and I will miss his warmth and humor. Joe was both honest and always cheerful and this made everyone around him feel good. We were the lucky ones whose lives were touched and we are most grateful for our friendship. Sue, you are in our thoughts and and prayers.

We got to know Joe on the beach in Florida where he enjoyed winters for many years after retirement. He always had a smile and a story to tell, to share a moment and a laugh and to ask about our family. He was usually surrounded by a crowd of friends who loved to be in his company. We looked forward to seeing him each winter and catching up and will miss his warmth and character. Our sincerest condolences to the family and friends.

Joe,Growing up in Roosevelt Towers with no guidance or direction in my life you and Ritchie Ring were partners patrolling RVT and East Cambridge and often talked with me and others to do the right thing in life and eventually I smartened up and my life is good today. When you two were patrolling my neighborhood we knew that we would not be harassed or shaken down there was a lot of tension between us and the police after the Larry Largey incident.Joe,you were one of the real good cops I remember growing up.My prayers, thoughts and condolences to your family.RIP,Joe.
