My buddy, my friend, my colleague. I never thought you could die. We spent hours together at the Chamber of Commerce. We planned and laughed, and did what we thought was right for 1000 members. You were a man of integrity. You made friends, you encouraged people, you cooked a mean Crab Imperial! My heart has been broken. May God bless and keep you in his care.

Michael so many memories we have shared together over the last 35 years. I will always remember you taking me to my very 1st funeral, Capt Sterling Wise, you taught me how to be a better person by always telling me "just jump in and help don´t worry about what needs done once they see you helping they will tell you what to do" I have lived by that since hanging around the kitchen at the Pilot House Restaurant 35 years ago waiting for someone to send food back they didn´t like so I could get a free meal & You never let me go Hungry. You & I have always had a Special Relationship, I guess that´s why Susan & I always get seated with you at your table at all the Family Celebrations. Now we will Celebrate your Life & Legacy, without YOU!! We Will Always Love You!!! You will be Greatly Missed!!!

I have known Michael for more years than I can count right now. Always had a kind or uplifting word for everyone he encountered. And one of his many other accolades was ... boy could he cook up a meal!! Chef Extroardinaire! You were a great friend, Boss, boat master, Dad, and Sibling. Rest in Peace Michael! You will surely be missed by every one!

Michael was a much loved member of the Prince William County Board of Equalization. We will miss his incredible knowledge of all things real estate in PWC, but most of all will miss his wit, his smile, and his friendship. Corey and Rachel, thank you for sharing your Dad with all of us. You have our deepest sympathy and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Michael´s passing this week. I knew him from the Pilot House days. He was one of the nicest people I had ever met. He always greeted me with a smile and kind words and I considered him a good friend. The world was a better place with him in it. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.... Jim Rector

Michael was one of the best friends I ever had and a truly wonderful person. I have so many amazing memories of our time together. 37 years ago Michael was my best man (and caterer) at our wedding. Kerri and I are deeply saddened by his passing and sending our prayers to all his family.

He was my boss first, then he became my friend! I meet Michael in 1987, when I was 24 years old, that was the year I joined the "Pilot House Family". We had some really fun times and even better conversations "after the restaurant closed for the evening"! Michael was a kind, generous and caring man he will always be in my life "stories"!

Michael and his office Realtor mates at harbor Grill in Woodbridge, Virginia. He always had a great conversation. He had so much knowledge and he was super reliable when it came to Real Estate.

So sorry to hear. We spent some of the best times of our life at the Old Pilot House, and that was in large part due to the care and attention of how all was taken care of. Apart from that, he was always such a gracious and friendly host. Our condolences to all of his family.

Praying for all the family. Michael was very professional and a good person. He always was available to help others like me when I started my career as a realtor. We will miss you!

So I met Michael about 5 years ago when Rachel and I started dating. He made Me feel welcomed from the first time I shook his hand . I will miss the many stories and landmarks he would tell about the Woodbridge area. I always enjoyed the trips to the renaissance fair and him going all out on his costumes and people just stopping him to take a photo. I always enjoyed looking at the inflatables on Halloween and Christmas because it would just make the neighborhood so festive and the countless cars and people stopping to take photos. The way he would crack a joke and make you have a ahaa moment and he would just smile because he knew it was funny. My heart goes out to Rachel and Corey because they lost a great dad, a great man and a great friend to so many of us. Michael will never be forgotten.
