Joseph Mickelson Obituary
Born in Bethlehem on October 20, 1931, Joe was the son of the late Henry and Vera (Bazeka) Mickelson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, Joe dedicated 42 years to Bethlehem Steel before retiring in 1993.
Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Christensen (Keith) of Allentown, PA, and Tracey Mickelson (Jane) of Carlisle, PA., his son, Henry "Mick" Mickelson (Beth) of Catasauqua, PA., and Daughter-in-law, Nanci Mickelson of Whitehall, PA. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Elizabeth, Jamie, Jessica, Matthew, Grant, Jordan, and Conner; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Mickelson Jr.

Joe, you will be missed. Many like me will carry your memory as they tell stories of your work at the steel mills, how well you cooked, and how great a father/grandfather/husband you were! My heart breaks for your family, wife, and friends; heaven took an angel home.

So very sorry to hear of Uncle Joe's passing. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I still remember when I was a teenager how he would let me "borrow" his spiffy newest car on occasion. He was a good guy.
