Joe was a great guy with a low key pleasant personality that led to his very successful pharmacies in Dover, NJ and Newburgh, NY. The love affair with his wife began in 1951 as the result of the efforts of two matchmakers who were close friends, his sister, Rose Nakashian Thomas, and his wife's aunt, Josephine Casen, my mother. Four children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren followed from that union.

Grandpa, I will forever miss your warmth, wisdom, and the quiet strength you brought into our lives. You taught me so much, and your love will stay with me always. Rest peacefully, knowing that you are deeply loved.

My dad was and will always be in my heart. The love I feel for him is difficult to express into words. Family was his legacy and taught us to love, honor and respect . I love you dad and you will be sadly missed, I will miss your voice, hugs and kisses, but know you're at peace now and feel everlasting love in Heaven.

Joe was an amazingly kind and sweet man. He was my brother's father in law so I did not know him well or see him often. But he always treated me like family whenever we met. How I wish I could have known him better - I'll remember his sunny smile and the great joy I saw in Joe whoever he was with his grandchildren. Heartfelt condolences to all the Nakashians. Such a fine man to be remember and emulated always. It was an honor to know him.
