My deepest condolences to you and your family. Your father was such a great person - I´ll always remember his kindness and the way he welcomed us so many times during our college years. Will always remember him fondly, from the Safie family.

Every day around 10:00 a.m., I would call my dad from work just to check in, see how he was doing, and ask how things were at home with my mom. In the evenings, we sat together at her bedside. Throughout all of 2025, we ended our nights watching an old sitcom he enjoyed very much and keeping up with the news conferences of President Trump. Most Sundays we had lunch together, usually pizza or some other casual choice, such as hamburgers.

In 2024, I was diagnosed with a mild form of cancer. He worried about my cancer far more than I did. My dad came with me to every appointment and treatment, even when I urged him to rest and stay home. I finished my last treatment in mid-September. Back then, I never would have imagined that less than a year later my dad would be gone from this Earth. I honestly thought he would be one of those people who live past 100. I guess I fooled myself into some wishful thinking.

I miss him deeply. He was my best friend. As I wrote in his obituary, he was an excellent father to all of us and an exceptional husband to my mom. I have many more memories.
